Alex and Diego are the sweetest lovers and their warmth turned a chilly photo session into timeless Flagstaff engagement photos.
Downtown Flagstaff engagement photos are some of my favorite in Arizona. Its rustic feel and small-town charm makes it a great option for any type of Flagstaff photography. Not to mention my couples always enjoy beating the heat of Phoenix or Tucson.
We are so excited for Alex and Diego’s upcoming fall elopement in Sedona! Check out a few of the beautiful spots we found during our hour walk through downtown Flagstaff.
Flagstaff engagement photos
The couple decided to schedule their engagement photo shoot on Diego’s birthday. The lucky guy spent his birthday sweetly loving and holding his fiancé as we explored downtown Flagstaff taking photos. The couple knew exactly what to wear, coordinating their outfits to match the red and brown tones of the brick and historic downtown area.
Flagstaff engagement photographers know the downtown area is a picturesque scene for any couple looking for a timeless shoot. Flagstaff is home to the Northern Arizona University Lumberjacks (Go Jacks!) and was established in 1899. It’s crazy to think most of the restaurants, bars and buildings in the nearby downtown are even older than that!
Make it a vacation
Flagstaff is a great place for a rustic yet urban engagement photos. However, the city is surrounded on all sides by the largest ponderosa pine forests in the world. While we didn’t make our way into the forests during our shoot, it’s a great place for whimsical forested scenes.
Couples traveling from other nearby areas should know that Flagstaff is two hours from Phoenix by car. Also, it’s about an hour and a half away from the Grand Canyon. We would recommend a weekend trip for an photo shoot because of its wide variety of fun and exciting amenities that Flagstaff has to offer.
A no-fuss, easy location
Flagstaff has a strong wedding industry that can support your greatest wedding dream. Flagstaff engagement photos are underrated in Arizona because of the urban options of Phoenix and the iconic red rocks of Sedona. But as you can tell, Flagstaff has its own charm.
But don’t take my word for it: See what Alex and Diego said in their touching five-star review. If you want to see more sessions of downtown Flagstaff, it never hurts to inquire!
